Originally from the Virgin Islands, Dr. Brookes grew up in New York City. She received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College, in New York, and obtained her medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine. Dr. Brookes completed her Pediatric Residency at Albert Einstein’s Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York where she went on to serve as Chief Resident for the Pediatric department.
Since residency training, she has had a number of enriching experiences, including serving as director of medical student education, involvement in resident education, and being the lead physician at a community clinic. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of pediatrics. Dr. Brookes is Pediatric Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her honors include: Recognition as a Leading Physician of the World, Patients’ Choice Awards, Service award for over 10 years of dedication to the Patient Community, and Top Pediatrician by both city and state. However, her greatest pride and joy in medicine is the simple pleasure of bringing a smile to a child’s face.
Dr. Brookes is married with two children. She is very passionate about quality care and has a strong interest in child advocacy. Dr. Brookes looks forward to partnering with the families of Southern Nevada to promote the health of their children.
